Golden compromises

These were the shoes I really wanted. There is no verb in our language that accurately describes what I do when I look at this shoes. Swooning is far too gentle a sentiment.

But you know, priorities and being practical and feeling responsible-ish. So when I uncovered these from a table piled high with clearance sweaters and marked down 75%, I realized I'd stumbled upon a very happy compromise.

A girl's just gotta wear sparkles on her toes sometimes, right?

Those shoes are hot. Both of them. 75% off makes almost anything hot.
PS: Just found your blog and I'm loving it!

It seems like every season I see a shoe that makes me exclaim "why wasn't THAT around while I was wedding shoe shopping and had an excuse to purchase?" Fabulous stand-in though!

I want that shoe so bad! I almost bought it with my bday money, but then thought, where the heck would I wear it?

Very nice shoes, but flats? Flats don't fit with Maggie in my mind. I'm not sure you ever wore a pair the entire time I worked with you. Must be the working from home influence!

Glitter shoes always tap into my Glinda/Wizard of Oz yearnings. I also like shiny things because of my magpie tendencies. Basically, I adore these shoes!
